These two songs seem uncannily similar to me...

Chuu lene do nazuk hoNtoN ko

and

Jaane bahar husn tera be-misaal hai

easy paced, the songs give me a sense of mild suroor, a subdued sense euphoria.

Yes, they do share the same note structure, although I am not sure
which raag these are based on.

Also both in Dadra Taal (6 beats) - add to that the same voice and the
uncanny similarity is largely explained :-)

Malkauns - composer Ravi seemed to have an unusual predilection for it
(and a specific set of deviations from it).

Cheers,

Sanjeev

Hi
Sorry nothing to do with this post - I just came accross the forum
after many many years and am glad to see it is still alive and well -
I last attended one of the get togethers in Washington DC.  How do I
get back into the discussions and notifications of meetings etc.  I am
also looking for a very old song - "Chandni gori gori, yaad dilaye
tori, roun main chori chori, meri preet bari majboor, main tum se
door, milan ho kaise."  unfortunately have no other details.

Thanks
Nishi
