The title on YouTube says "do ghooNT maine / chai"
but I hear it as
do ghuu.NT kyaa ye pii aur sair duniyaa kii
dekho mai.n kar ke aa gayaa, aa gayaa...
giitaayan does not help and my HFGK is not at hand.

The original is "Maine Pi" (which you can still see Om Prakash lipping
IMO), the "Chaai Pi" seems to have been forcibly grafted on post-hoc
in some sort of Prohibitionist sentiment - what's the scoop, anyone?
Sanjeev
downloaded it from prof saab's site. it seems to be 'chaai' the first
time and 'jaaye' thereafter! If it was indeed prohibitionist sentiment
which caused the change, I have a question - kaajal with (acchon ko
buraa saabit karnaa ...) came in 1965. which was the first hindi song
that was allowed to 'praise' or commend 'alcohol'?
