The festival is not being held in December this year; it has been
postponed to 7-10 January 2010, according to

Any idea what sort of "Light Classical Music" was featured in this

Sorry, I wasn't being clear...

1) Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan - was it previously called AIR Sangeet
Sammelan or Radio Sangeet Sammelan?

2) I have heard HCM and CCM on AIR Sangeet Sammelan - not sure what
sort of music is featured in such LCM program?

I have heard the Hindi term "upashaastriya sa.ngiit" (covering thumri,
dadra, kajri, jhoola, etc.) being translated on AIR (and DD) as both
"semi-classical music" and "light classical music". I don't think this
is any different.
