And the first thing I hear when I tune in is Mallikarjun Mansur

Hi,
"Tarang" internet radio on www.ShadjaMadhyam.com has also been
broadcasting Hindustani Classical Music 21 hours a day since January
of this year. We have 3 streams, one each for India, Europe and US, so
that listeners get the raag suitable for their time of the day (more
or less) We feature mostly upcoming artistes, with a few rare
exceptions, like Pt. Ram Marathe, and a couple of others. Some of the
artistes like Apurva Gokhale (Pt. Gajananbuva Joshi's grand daughter)
are very promising. The idea is to provide them the platform they
richly deserve.

Your feedback is very welcome.

Nandu
BTW, it is also available on a GPRS/3G enabled mobile phone so that
you can listen to it on the move....

I have spent some time listening to "Tarang" and must say thank you
for the wonderful work in encouraging youngsters. For those of us
outside India, could you possibly review the upcoming talent, in terms
of their potential and promise, tayyari and temperament? I found
Pushkar Lele's composite style (Kumar Gandharva and Deshpande jI)
quite compelling to begin with - I do hope he evolves his own musical
identity. Smt. Bharathi Vishampayan's singing has also appealed to
me Following your words of recommendation, I will listen to Apurva
Gokhale too.

I would rather be moved by the music, instead of the other way
round ;-)

Ha ha! But that also means it can effectively become your car radio.

Had some error posting comments on your website. Hence this:

Many thanks for featuring the wonderful 1+ hour video of Smt.
Gangubhai Hangal's delightful Bageshree and Adana...

If you can find it, please do post the delectable video of MSS singing
"Sada Saranga Naryane" in Ranjini...

Again, congratulations on your wonderful work!!!
