organizers on the upcoming tour of Flute Maestro Shashank for April /
May of 2010. We have the following choices of concerts.

...Flute solo by Shashank along with his two or three member ensemble
...Flute and Sitar duet performance by Shashank and Ustad Shahid
Parvez, accompanied by percussion instruments Tabla and Mridangam.
... A flute and Dance double header of Shashank and Ensemble and
Shirisha, the talented bharatnatyam dancer from Chennai.

Briefly, Shashank has been a prolific performer in the Indian Music
tradition for more than two decades now and has performed and taught
in prestigious organizations, the world over. Shashank has
collaborated with hosts of musicians from various musical genres and
often performs duet concerts with famed musicians from India including
Sitar, Sarod, Mohan Veena and so on. Some of the famed maestros
include the legendary guitarists Paco De Lucia and John Mc Laughlin,
Tabla Maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain and so on.

Shashank was the featured performer in "Destination Music" a series
hosted by BBC World television channel. Shashank also won the Grammy
Nomination for the 2009 for his album with Guitarist John McLaughlin.
He also got the "Top of the World"
Award for his album Rasayana by the Songlines Record Magazine in
Europe during 2005.
