OTP: (what seems to be) a cool girl

So I was at this Deltron 3030/Ugly Duckling/PUTS show in Toronto on
Thursday... nothing special, although Ugly Duckling put on a pretty fun
show, surprisingly...
Ended up wasting $55 on beer... $5 each... so 11 beers altogether..
So when the show ended, my boy and I started up a little cipher... a couple
others came over to join... and then there was (what seemed to be) a cute
girl standing near us listening. being the drunk that i was (without the
shyness that i have when sober), we started talking, got her #, name etc...
So I woke up the next morning, and couldn't even remember what she looked
like, couldn't remember her name, and I thought she told me she was from
Ottawa and in Toronto for university.
I call up my friend who put her # into his palm pilot for me the night
before, found out her name and #... called her and left a message on her
machine..
Then she calls me back today.. and this girl is dope!!.. Her parents are
from Chile (i like em exotic), she's actually from Vancouver and is here for
school, and her sister directed the new Moka Only video "imagine this" or
whatever it's called.. and is doing a Swollen Members video next.. that shit
bugged me out, even though it wasn't her. this girl knows her hip-hop too..
I'm all uppity about this though, cuz I got out of what seemed like a REALLY
LONG 8 month relationship with this girl in august.. and was just so fed up
with girls, tired of how there's no really cool girls up here.. but this
one seems hella cool from this conversation.. finally. (although i could be
totally wrong in the end)

what was surprising about UD putting on a fun show? that seems to be what
that group is all about. but COME ON!!! how did del and puts come off? i'd
kill to see puts man.

whoa nelly.. thats a lot on beer. i just got back from a show me and my
crew threw tonight, and I spent like 20 bucks on beer, but I tip like 2-3
bucks each time. (2 dollar beers, even though we threw the show, how
FUCKING WACK IS THAT?!)
anyway this show was nice. it was more my boys show than mine, cuz I'm
more interested in throwing *techno* or *house* parties than
hiphop/downtempo/acidjazz jams, but this was cool. one of the DJs threw on
Geto Boys "Mind Playin Tricks on Me" and I went ape shit and yelled the
lyrics and pumped my fists spasmodically. unfortunately, none of the other
peeps there (mostly thick plastic frame glasses wearing kids, you know the
score) didn't seem like they'd even heard the song before. we pulled in
100 people though which is allright for our area, and I wrote a nice rhyme
in my book and did a little graff piece too which was lovely.

i snipped a lot of this cuz it was girl talk. but regardless, the count of
honies to dudes at this show we threw tonight was ridiculous. if I didn't
have a girlfriend, I would've arranged for a 10 to 1 split at my house
that evening, for real... goldenchild style.

really weak. The sound quality was terrible (not really their fault, but
ugly duckling's seemed to be perfectly fine), and they were pretty boring.
I was definitely disappointed, cuz 'Question In The Form Of An Answer' was
one of my fav lps of this year.
I can't really comment on how Deltron's performance was, because by this
point, I was at my peak of drunkenness. It sounded okay, but I can't go
into detail about it.
