Yo, I know I aint supposed to be in here no more or whatever, but push
the bullshit aside for a sec. I had to speak on this. Its sad that he
died, not 'cause he was a dope ass MC, but because he was young, and he
was slain maybe before his time. God Bless his seeds. But this makes me
think about a few things. First of all, I know its not rap related, it
probably has somethin' to do with jealousy, which is somethin' that us
minorities kill and are killed over constantly, and we just can't seem
to shed that shit.  Not even minorities, just poor people in general. I
dont mean to preach, but why is it that niggas hate to see anyone have
anything better than us? All I hear from cats is "Yo, Im'a stick that
cat, 'cause he think he fly", or "Yo, I gotta have that chain he got,
Im'a get him for that". I dont mean to stray away from the main topic.
Only in rap music is someone murdered every year. I would say the
Hip-Hop culture, but I know theres alot of suburban kids in the culture
these days, and theres nothin' wrong with that at all, but they dont
face the problems that the ghetto community faces, so like I said, its
poor people that really need to make some changes. The sad thing is, if
Big-L wasn't a rapper then niggas wouldn't even care that he got merked.
Theres hundreds of kids everyday that get slain just like that in
ghettos across the country, most of the time over stupid shit, "He
fucked my girl", "He got me in a one on one", "He think he hard", "He
came in MY hood", "He got somethin' goin' for himself, and I dont, so I
gotta kill him". Thats just a few reasons why niggas (ghetto cats) kill
each other. Its sad that niggas gotta get killed before you really
realize that things are real fucked up, and whats even sadder than that
is niggas STILL dont learn. And its a cycle that will never end, because
people raise their seeds to be the same way, so every generation is
gonna get worse, and worse. The other day I heard this lady tell her
daughter, who was no older than 5, that she was gonna go get the cop and
tell the cop to shoot her if she didnt be quiet. Now you might laugh or
whatever, but think about it, you would NEVER hear a suburban mother say
that to her child. I know SOME of you suburban peeps think that its cool
to live in the city, and some of you wish you were from the hood or
whatever. But ya'll just need to be thankful that you were lucky enough
to be raised in a non-violent area, because whats goin' on in the city
is a serious situation that can never be turned around, for the simple
fact that niggas are hard-headed. Yo, I just had to get this shit off my
chest. R.I.P. Big-L and everyone that got murdered on the street. Peace
