why would he say something like that? no offense to you but it just dont sound

Newsgroups are probably the least known part of the
internet (next to telnet or something). famous people
don't have to read newgroups because they have better
stuff to do with their precious time.

I suppose famous people don't read newspapers either? Or watch TV?

You are wrong. Many well-known hip hop personalities have posted in this
newsgroup since I've been a part of it beginning in 1995. Off the top of the
head, here is a list:
D-Nice
Special K & Teddy Ted
Count Bass-D
Double X Posse
G-Clef (Ghetto Philharmonic)
Mountain Brothers
Just to name a few. Granted, none of the above are exactly superstars but to
say that no one "famous" has ever posted in the newsgroup is ridiculous (how
long and closely have you been reading RMHH?). D-Nice or Special K & Teddy Ted
aren't famous?
Who is to know how many other hip hop personalities lurk in the newsgroup? I
know if I ever blew up, I'd still check out the newsgroups to get an honest
perspective on hip hop music and hopefully a critique of my own from
intelligent listeners.
Gang Starr said in an interview that a rumor was started about Premier
producing a comeback song for LL on the INTERNET. Now, maybe THEY didn't see it

And some of us remember when rmhh dissed KRS hard for appearing in
that Sprite commercial ("the revolution is basketball") and someone
purporting to be KRS who wrote an awful lot like KRS and went on for pages
and pages like KRS does when he speaks extemporaneously wrote a post
telling rmhh that it was full of shit and had no right ot judge KRS. To
this day I'm convinced it was the man but a lot of people seemed to think
it wasn't.

Nope, I think the assertion was that Canibus was/is Malik.
Plexx kinda fits. He had a sense of humor, his abscences seem well
timed, but I think he seemed a little too cool get engage in a
commercially based "battle." I don't remember any long term issues with
LL or anything... but a trip through Deja news could be kinda interesting

There have been a lot of times when something has started here in
RMHH and then the same idea, concept or accounts end up in some
publication. If you check the album notes of several artists, they give
props to internet "heads" and I've even seen names of specific people or
sites.
I don't know if our babbling has seriously affected or influenced
anyone famous, but that's not why I'm here. Those famous folks would
learn a whole lot if they stepped in our spot anyways.

Damn, I wish I had a big mouth like Wendy Williams, but artists do read
rmhh. I doubt Mase does, but some do. No names, but I'm known as the
internet nerd round these here hip-hop parts. As soon as someone decides
to get down with some online ish, I get a call. It's become a running joke.
Questlove (The Roots) got interviewed by someone on the internet a while
back and the interviewer told him he was talking to a girl on the internet
about him and Quest automatically thought it was me. Oh shoot, let me
find the
interview...hold on...

Pretty funny. I used to get clowned about being on the net.
But I put someone down with rmhh a little while back and he got *hooked*.
He doesn't post, but he loves reading it and telling his boy about the
mistakes in their rhymes on Steve's lyrics site. (no offense Steve...it
truly has become entertainment...one I remember was some rhyme where the
last line was written as "peace to my man ****? at home reading the
Koran" and the whole rhyme was about violence. He straight laughed for
ten minutes then got on the phone and told someone else to check it. Boot
Camp Clik or some group like that.)
Celebs *like* the internet. They can be totally anon. People treat them
special in the "real world". Here, you can get a "handle", be
nob...@hotmail.com and interact with people who will give you real
feedback and treat you like crap if you post about b.s.
Damn....I am not a gossip...I am not a gossip.

I don't think so. Mr Sh*ttalker seemed much more "underground" than
Canibus. He liked Showbiz&A.G. (ok not exactly underground but you get

Saafir...

Somehow I doubt MrSh*t was Canibus, but I wouldn't put it past him that
he may have been an artist or up and coming one. I'm pretty dern sure it
canibus wasn't Malik (if you're still reading, really, i'ma send you
your tapes... I didn't forget...:)) either. He was probably just some
obscure poster who posted maybe twice or three times then left. I read
in Divine Styler that he was in CS for 3 years doing the "corporate
thing." So, he is obviously computer literate. He really coulda been
anybody. He coulda been a former reg and we just never knew. Wonder if
he still lurks around and where...
BTW, does boi who made "T-Boz tried to talk to me.." or whatever that
song was still come on? He was the closest we've had to a known
celebrity... aside form us locals who're trying to do our thing. I know
Harry Allen used to post but I don't remember seeing it.

So, Khal-El, seems like she didn't bite after all. But I wonder who that
girl on his website is. Maybe some of the girls he talked to and clicked and
dragged to get that ass.
But since everyone is dropping guesses, here's mine:
Alexander Carlton, just because he said noone was interested in his

Nah, I really think he was one of those AOL posters with their "I LOVE

I think it was when Me and him were working out our differences, and I said it

nothing against anybody in the newsgroup. Then he said "Except that Mike kid

Wasn't Malik the one who dropped hints that he had some sort of
