....as something you do as a kid, then let go.

That prevailing attitude would contribute a lot to not inspiring the next man
to keep going for a long time. It's what keeps it slammed in a bunch of young
dumb ish.

Why did rock guys not find themselves saying "I ain't tryna be touring with a
goddamn guitar in my hand when I'm 50?" Might be because they know better than
to dis something that's a great thing to do and keeps one feeling good.

Why should we feel so bad about rapping after the age of 25? Does grown mean
you have to hang it up as far as making what you know you can make?

Rap isn't playing basketball, something that depends on how your body works.
It depends on how your mind and soul work.

If you feel like you'll one day look like an idiot, maybe you should never have
signed on. Go sell insurance or make widgets.

commerical music period is based on the youth based market from
approximately the age 15 - 30...

whether they say it or not for the most part there arent many 50 year olds
who are going to be charting at 50 anyway... if you aint charting most
likely you arent going to be touring, and if you are going to be touring
its going to be to a crowd who wants to hear the shit you made in the
good ole days...

what rapper do you know of that has retired as of yet??? the ones who have
said they were retiring have tried to comeback only to figure out that they
lost there market...

this sounds more like a personal problem... youve stated a number of
times that you feel you should have made it by now and havent... it looks
more like to me you are looking for an excuse to tell yourself to keep at
it because others are saying you are too old for the game...

no grown means most likely you will have lost your niche market... rap and
rock and roll is a youth driven business... get to fucking old and you will
have missed the boat... kids aint trying to hear no fifty year old mahfaka
talkin bout bitches, ho's, cars, and whatever... a fifty year old should be
accomplished by then... and i know that isnt all there is to rap about, but
i am talkin about what the industry is currently pushing... no matter what
a fifty year old is not going to be relevant to the youth music buying
public...

so is pretty much everything else that isnt a sport and people get to
old to do a lot of those things too...

sour grapes...

This wasn't so much about my personal run at it, but about how the art of
rapping is looked at in general....and I do think it's cheapened by the typical
subject matter....
