Economist excerpt...
Pulled this from my account with The Economist: Where the cutting should begin America’s deficit problem is in essence a spending problem, so spending must bear the brunt of adjustment. An ageing population and health-care inflation are inexorably driving up the cost of the country’s three big entitlements: Social Security (pensions), Medicare... more »

Only In Marin?
The vocal, starting around 1:14, makes me not sad at all that I read-- too late-- the post about 'Furthur" at 19/Broadway. And the second round of vocals would seem to confirm the first impression. I know, it was a test run of sorts, but this isn't new material. Anyway, the jamming ain't bad, but this John guy ain't the second... more »

They have taken up the Cause
This is the best thing since California Jam top feature write-up of Century titled One day in 1974 ... how I stealthily aced out the nation to be the only one to put "the Woodstock of the West" to oxide the way it should be. And the radio revelations. Let's not forget those anytime soon. You know the ones where BRASS-Brain found out one... more »

Eating pizza in Bklyn and a broken tooth
I was eating pizza (something) on Friday and I got a chipped tooth from it. My lower right 6. I calwed the company and sent them a email tonight. Do you think there's any way they are going to fix this one? I figure the cost of repair is going to be under $200.00.

NDC: Anybody want to help a fella out? I need advice please.
I am the most careful guy in the world with my work computer. I never click on potentially rogue links, or do anything knowingly stupid that could result in an infection to my computer. But it happened anyway. A program calling itself "Antivirus System PRO" has installed itself onto my computer. It has changed the home page of IE from gmail to... more »
