Chris, that's mean stuff there. I find JimK to be a funny dude. Humor often
can seem to cut like a knife, but being the butt of a joke is just that: a
joke. Now...have you cranked up King Crimson's Discipline yet on your new
system? Shit, it sounds pretty good through my crappy computer sound system
right about now. Music is good.
Wow, Jim gets his very own thread.
Cool.

Thank you for those words of inspiration. Now, let's turn to page 146 in
the hymnal and sing, "They Will Know We Are Christians by Our Love"
R.
Repeat after me:
Love thy neighbor.
Live & Let Live.
Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done To You.
(note that that isn't "...As They Have Already Done To You". There's a
difference.)
Any time you get the urge to post one of your rantings, repeat these simple
phrases....they've been around for....oh, about 2000 years, if you believe
*some* people.
-Josh
> Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done To You.
That's the golden rule. Have you ever heard of the platinum rule? It says
that you should treat others as they would want to be treated. Both rules
have inherent flaws I feel.
Uh, you aren't gonna Carrie this to its illogical conclusion, are ya?
Fred
I never thought I'd see the day I'd defend JimK. But this is just WAY too
over the top not to. Jumping in to an existing thread to trash someone
seems to be the USENET way. Starting a new thread with the "bashee"
in the subject line for the sole purpose of embarrassing someone most
definitely is NOT.
Peace,
Mark
Chris,
You may think you are a Christian, but my guess is that you are going to
hell
HTH,
Scot
Well said.
That's simliar to something one of my high school English teadhers was
fond of telling students. His version was "Be careful of the life you
lead. It is the only gospel some people will ever read."
Chris,
Whatever disagreements you may have with JimK do not justify calling
him a stalker. I just spent a few minutes on Google investigating your
charge, and it is definitely not true. There really is no pattern, as
many of your posts go completely ignored by JimK. In fact, his posts
often lighten the tone of otherwise tense/nasty threads.
I can't deny that Jim tends to razz right-oriented posters on occasion.
That's life on Usenet when you come forth with vehement
religious/political proclamations. Get used to it.
I can say most assuredly that I have never made light of you, taunted
you, or otherwise tried to get your goat on Usenet. Not my style, as I
tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. I don't like political
or religious 'groupthink' any more than you do, but calling someone a
stalker (or worse, as did another RMGD netizen) for offhand comments on
a public bulletin board clearly crosses the line of fair play, IMHO.
BTW, I am glad to hear that you survived your infection. They can be
quite nasty. A couple of years ago, I had a similar situation on my
hands (or, more accurately, teeth). A wisdom tooth became severely
infected off and on, and like you, my head swoll up like a basketball
and I couldn't even fit my little finger into my mouth. Try eating
nothing but yogurt and the like for weeks on end. No fun. The last
time, I literally had to smack myself silly to bust open the abscess.
Trust me, I understand the despair and the pain. Unfortunately, unlike
you, I did not have the money to deal with the situation or I would
have immediately. I ended up borrowing it to save my life. (And
before any of you self-proclaimed experts accuse me of
over-dramatizing, I was later informed by my sister, a senior nurse,
that this was indeed a potential outcome.)
Chill out, my man. It is only Usenet, and although I only read it
infrequently these days, it pains me to see these overly nasty
dialogues transpiring here. It is supposed to be fun, remember?

Seems to me he's already there.

JimK
Aw shit, what did you have to go and do that for. Now I owe you one.
JimK
I've always come to the defense of those who are being treated
unfairly. Kinda explains my support for G.W. don't it? ;-) And just
as the Congressional Republicans have proven recently, (They
are definitely NOT a rubber stamp gallery.) I don't blindly support
Bush either. I don't defend G.W. when I hear the "Drunken sailor"
wisecracks. .....................Cuz it's TRUE! Wasted sailors look to
Bush for inspiration.
Peace,
Mark
Chris, maybe you should have spent all that money on medical or dental
treatment instead of a new sound system - something sure is affecting
your thinking.
I have never noticed JimK. doing anything that remotely resembles
"stalking" you. He says very funny things all the time around here and I'm
very
glad he's part of this group. He is one of the people who makes it worth
reading through the other stuff here. You, on the other hand, have added
nothing but negativity for a very, very long time. It's people like you
(and
Pastor Dan Estes, who none of you know, but it makes me happy to proclaim in
public that he's worse than Jim Bakker or Pat Robertson) who make me ashamed
to have to check the box marked "Christian"...
