They almost won the Formula One Championship this year. Both
Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber won multiple races.

In the end tho, Brawn Racing and Virgin Atlantic won both the driver's
and constructor's championships.

So you may want to drink a Virgin instead.

All I know as I keep telling my 7th grade students not to drink them,
especially before school. I have no legitimate reason to think this but
I just don't think that it's good for their developing bodies.

Personally, I don't like the taste or effect.

I drink Diet Red Bull. It effects me about the same as a cup of
coffee. I have never gotten sick from drinking it.

I will also occasionally drink diet Red Bull and vodka. The danger
there is dehydration, but only in large amounts and again, I
personally have never experienced any ill effects.

Over 1 billion cans of Red Bull were sold in 2000. I figure its safe
in moderation.

Perhaps, but I can't do sugar, so I get by as best I can. While I can
definitely tell the difference between a diet coke and a coke, the red
bull taste is so unique, that I can barely tell the regualr apart from
the diet.

I highly doubt that caffeine and taurine will hinder a child's
development. Seems like the school in question is not using any
scientific study to back up such a claim. I'd hypothesize that the
American diet hinders a child's development much more.

Anyway, guess what? I had my very first energy drink ever today. It
was called Monster. Damn! NOW I see why college kids drink this
stuff. I'm now a fan.

It would probably be more cost effective to just take Taurine
supplements and Caffeine (Guarana for one). Acetyl Carnitine is also
good for upping your gas.
