I never knew Garcia played with Nikki Six. Anybody got a link?

I just cannot believe the sound quality of the recording! It is
amazing what they can do to enhance the sound nowadaze of an old
analog recording! It is just unbelievable! One can almost hear
Jerry puffin' on a Camel....

Foaming at the mouth.............

That's just the Old Crow.
It does that to me sometimes.

In those days, Pall Malls.

I loved Nicky Hopkins.
Even though he was a Scientologist.
I separate artists' flaws from their music,
pretty much.

It's "Nicky" Hopkins ... but you probably know that already.

Hi Lar. Long time.
Hope you and family are well.
Will and I just ate my turkey
dinner and I thought it really
was poor, one of those times...
but he honestly said it was good
and ate it and thanked me......
Claims he's not able to hide it when
food sucks, "Remember my poker face
with Aunt Jeanne's dinners?" he said.
Best t'y'all up in the great NW.

He played on a few of the tracks on the CD release "Garcia Plays
Dylan": Tough Mama, and Positively 4th St. The guy was incredible.
It's my favorite version of Tough Mama.

If you haven't yet heard it, check out the "Jamming with Edward" disc
that was recenttly re-released after being out of print for decades.
It is a capture of a day of studio jams featuring Nicky Hopkins
(Edward), Ry Cooder, Bill Wyman, Charlie Watts, and Mick Jagger
(Mick's parts are a minor component, mostly harmonica, and improvised
vocals that stay down in the mix). This boogies down so hard it's
amazing. One of the best party records ever made.

Happy Day to you too Mary. We are having the classic northwet November
here. I love it - gray, wet, cool, and drippy.

Totally agree, Ry Cooder and Hopkins just kill it on that album- I
still have the original vinyl.
