What is that? That CO2 is what we breathe? That the earth is flat?
That the bible is literal truth and the planet is 6000 years old?
Why do you hate the science, the environment and the USA population so
much!???

Believing what you are told to believe.
Do not think. Do not understand.
Follow with blind faith.
For the record......
I do not believe the bilbe is literal. I believe it is a history book
which has gone through too many games of "telephone".
The Earth is most definitely not flat.
I like science...Climate science is not science...
I like the environment.
As an exercise, maybe you can refute my points instead of doing what
climate freaks are doing...
Here I provide a link to evidence that refutes the claims made by
"Ray-like" guys. And you, in a semi-witty way, accuse me of close
mindedness.
You gotta love this place...
Thanks for the laugh of the day.
I bet you are very smart...
post college level smart.
I seem to be able to feed myself without poking my eye out with the
fork.
I can also drive a car, and a motorcycle. I haven't accidentaly killed
either of my two cats yet. And my wife tells me the sex is still
great. So I'm hanging in there, thanks.
> post college level smart.
Nah.
How 'bout you, how smart are you? I'm only asking because I can't
tell.
Are you smart enough to have a sense of humor?
However, it is funny when pocket protectors start to leak and the user
has no awareness of such leakage.
Yet you don't deny my assertion you believe we "breathe" CO2? Your
"evidence" is nothing of the kind... just unsubstantiated e-mails
posted publicly by CC deniers.
What you don't get is that the percentage of CO2 in our atmosphere is
30x greater that 200 years ago, it increases heat retention on our
planet and will cause major disruptions to our way of life. Thats IF
we do all we can to stop this process!
In addition, our greed is rapidly emptying the oceans of fish, the
rainforests of trees (the lungs of earth) and through overuse of
fossil fuels probably dooming whatever future generations succeed us
to livesas survivors in a Cormac McCarthy like world of "The Road".
And when all that happens, in a small part of the world, children will
ask "How can they not have known what they are doing?"
What would you say to those as yet unborn kids, Jackstraw? "Sorry, I
liked my MTV???"

That pretty much sums it up. I hope that annoying is at least enjoying
the ride.

If we clean up ouir act and it turns out we weren't the cause, well then no
harm , no foul.
if we don't clean up and we are to blame we're screwed.
I'll err on the side of caution.
CO2 measurements and everything else considered in the global climate
universe is suspect...I told you that years ago. The evidence is now
revealing itself.
Your assertions are based on believing those who are now exposed as
manipulators and liars who use tactics such as guilt production.
I dont like MTV, but you like the Internet.
I am not a hypocrite...you may well be...
I ask you this...
Why did the last ice age, which covered the northern part of my state,
recede millions of years ago? No humans here then.
Why is there warming on every planet in our solar system...at least the
ones we can measure?
Take your bleeding heart to a commune. Sell it in a book. The gig is up.
Stop the crying. Get a job.

believe what you you are told young sheep man.
Try it in a transposed way....
Why not err on the side of life as it is concerned with a fetus?
That is surely the cautious side if one believes in the sanctity of
life. no?
I mean, I respect all health concerns of any woman, but if we believe in
the sanctity of life, should we not err on the side of caution?
This is why I am called annoying.
Yeah, but none of that is as funny as the person that denies global
warming.
How'd you make out during Thanksgiving dinner, are both your eyes
still in your head?
All that tells me is that if we fuck everything up, the earth will still
spin around the sun and that elements like CO2 will still be part of the
atmosphere. There is nothing about the sustainability of human life
under those conditions. But who cares? To think we are all that
important is some serious hubris.

It's interesting to me. The denial no longer seems focused on whether
climate change is going on but whether if it has been influenced by the
actions of mankind or it is a natural, recurring phenomena. I guess the
point of this argument is that if it is natural, then we are not
responsible to take any action to try to reverse it.
It honestly sounds like an argument that my siblings and I would give
as children. "It's not my fault so why should I do anything about it?"
As far as I see, these conservatives have never had any compunction
about using technology to change natural conditions, so why now.
Yes, I realize that we'll all take a huge economic hit if we move in a
realistic and effective fashion to turn global warming around, or at
least slow it. I understand that I personally will see a great
diminishment in my income, the buying power of that income, and the
material quality of my life. I'll probably bitch and moan and not enjoy
it, but I'm willing to go through it if I know it will slow down the
advance of global warming.
I try to do my part as an individual, but I'm by no means stringent
about it. I have a computer and an HDTV. I commute to work every day
and, though I carpool to work, I do almost all my other driving as an
individual. I buy things I don't need but want. I'm no conspicuous
consumer, but neither do I live a minimalist lifestyle. We can make an
effect if we all sacrifice, but to really be effective, we need to make
societal sacrifices and change the way the economy chews up and spits
out our natural resources.
I have no children yet I care about the future of the world. I have
been stumped for the last 25 years or so about how so many people in
power, most likely well educated and cognizant of the consequences,
choose to focus on short term profits and show no real care for the
future of their offspring. I guess they figure the upper class will
have artificially controlled, domed environments to live in.
Anyway, I know I'm probably stating the obvious here, but that seems to
be my forte. And I guess you can tell by my ramble that I'm a lifelong
liberal Democrat, though I by no means think that Democrats have not
added as much to this problem.
Try a flatted third on top of a flatted third.
Thanksgiving was pleasant. Thanks for asking.
Now get back in line...follow the tail in front.
Why do you assume that the climate change that is going on is moving in
a negative manner?
If the release of the emails have done nothing to sway you or, at the
very least....THE VERY LEAST.....cause you to reconsider your position,
well then...I don't know...sue your school district?
Maybe your parents? because all that you were taught, leading up to this
day, was wasted. You have not learned to think. You have not learned
to question. My God, I cry for the educational system you have (not)
participated in.
Scary...very scary...where do you work?
How old are you?
Forget about what "grade" you went to...I have already planted the seeds
of discontent as they pertain to your district.
This is a joke...right?
Just a coincidence.

Sorry, but Al Gore is not the expert in this field. He knows enough to
be a spokesperson for the effort, but the likelihood of Mr. Gore
proclaiming it to be a scam is so unlikely as to render this
hypothetical useless. I would imagine that Al Gore has little to nothing
to do with the people of this list making their minds up about the
validity of global warming theories.
Do you have a fuse? Glad to oblige!
We evolved over 200,000 years using simple social networks. Men
hunted, women gathered, we actually have different brains because of
that. http://www.nytimes.com/1995/02/28/science/man-s-world-woman-s-world-brain-studies-point-to-differences.html
We adopted prejudices that helped us survive, but they later became
bigotry. http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/node/8006 WE developed
agriculture, mostly due to beer

So we have become a virus on the planet, growing out of control. What
does a living body do? Raise the temperature, create anti-bodies and
try to create an environment that is un-healthy for the invader while
not killing the host. She's doing fine!!

Didn't you mean "men hunted women"?

I don't think that you'll take as much of a hit as the oil company execs
and others who are making an insane fortune and have the ear of
congress. Your life will change, but not as much as them. They've been
willing to kill for those profits before, so they're not going to roll
over and play dead over this.
who makes more...oil execs or Acorn execs?
Peace my ass.
You are way too funny for newsgroups.
They MADE EVERYTHING UP!!!!

What is it that you do not understand?
Where's Ray? we need Ray to sort this out...is he still shredding emails?
