What do you use to make your artwork?..I use cdlabler, but cannot for the life
of me figure out how to get it to print a booklet type front cover....Is there
a way?..Or do you use a program that works easily?....I like cdlabler except
for the problem of the booklet type cover.

With MS-Word, Photoshop and Quark Express, you have the digital world at
your command.

I've made templates for 1 disk, 2 disk and 3 disk sets in MS-Word. I can
dump images into the photo templates and setlists into the text boxes. With
Word, you can design any rectilinear shapes you like, booklets are easy. I
use Photoshop to crop images to the correct proportions, etc.

Quark Express is also a great program for this kind of thing--it gives you
even more flexibility, like permitting you to define oval and round windows,
for example, and define nonlinear vectors for text, so you can have swirl-ly
text and things like that if you're inclined to do it. I lost my copy of
Quark in a hard drive crash recently, I'm going to have to figure out which
of my graphic arts buddies to "borrow" a copy from.

Peace,
Neil X.

I use photoshop to make & edit the actual images, then use the programs i
mentioned above to use them for labels, liners, etc.

Photoshop rules. The dick's picks cover images (from the dead.net marketing
site) from the last several dp's make awesome tray liners, once you edit off
their text.

I use Photoshop and CorelDraw. Corel is alot looser of a program to work in
than Quark Express. I will only use Quark at work or 'on the job'. Mac
people are still hung up on Quark though ...(sorry for the ramble)

Photoshop is great. And if you're too cheap to buy it, you can steal
it from Kazaa. Not that you would do such a thing!

After you make the booklet front, rotate it 90 degrees so it fits on
the page the long way. Don't forget to include a jpg of the ticket
stub, if it's available from psilo.com!
