Nice!!! What a great place, right on the water in downtown Miami. One
of the nicer venues in the S Florida area, especially since they just
renovated it and its in February and not July.

So... how much are tickets for these shows? Yeah, Bojangles is a
chicken joint and prevalent like a Starbucks here in Charlotte. Can't
seem to buy chicken without a biscuit coming with it down here.
Southerners sure love their biscuits.
Still doubt I go unless I get a huge discount in some form or another.
Wish they were at Time Warner Cable Arena so I can get suite tickets
through my work for free.

I remember a local Boston comic had a bit about going down south, and
a local asking him "You never had biscuits and gravy??!!"
The comic said, "No, what's in it?"
The southern guy says "You get your biscuits, and you get your gravy"
Comic says "That's pretty good, you people made a whole meal out of
something we use to wipe up the remains of one".
Biscuits and gravy are a notch above grits in my appreciation (which
is to say not high on my list). Now some good ribs, or even chicken
fried steak , which pushes the envelope on how much fat you can fit
into a regular meal, those I understood the appeal.

I don't know John, one of the things I love about the south is a nice
breakfast of Poached Eggs with Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. I'm with
you on the Grits though

Grits rock. Lemme help everyone out. Bojangles: quarter white with
Cajun pintos. Southern breakfast: two eggs over easy, country ham,
grits with red eye gravy. That being said southern breakfasts and
southern staples vary dramatically in quality. It can be heavenly or
very very bad.

I like Waffle House for some odd reason. Doesn't get much more
southern than that.
When I was working in the restaurant, we used the leftover breakfast
sausages to make the sausage gravy with. I never made fresh sausage to
make the gravy. But day old sausage isn't bad, just a leftover dish
like John mentioned.
Haven't had a desire to try grits yet!

Actually it makes sense playing college auditoriums. A lot of the fan
base of the Grateful Dead was those demographics. Even in the Bay
Area whether shows sold out or not were directly dependent upon
whether or not school was in or not. So, do you think they're trying
to build a fan base? That's what it sounds like to me. Do a swing
through a bunch of Universities, then this summer when the kids are
out of school, do some festivals. It's all about money. Remember, if
you're going to play with Phil, hand your wallet to Jill. Jill's
making a legacy, and the more money the trust fund has in it the more
it pays monthly. I heard a comment about John being a contract
player. I wondered about that also. With the hype of Phish returning
gone, and Phish's ticket sales being good, but not great, there's a
little room for a few mo money tours. I was just looking at the
business side of it, that's all. They're hitting their money spots.

Yeah, I dig the Waffle House too, No trip down south is complete with
out at least one breakfast at the Waffle House.
