Mine just past. I missed it by a few days.
My friend told me a month that it was comming up soon. I just forgot
to keep in touch with his sooner. I only keep in touch with only one
person from high school.
I usta know a lot of people from high school. But I never really hung
out with them. I was into The Grateful Dead back then touring and
trying to see as many shows as possible. Nobody was into it back then
as much as I was. The heads that were there were far & few @ my high
school. But the heads then were the ones that got me into it in 1976.
I did hear it was pretty good. Matt Pinfield's band played all the
classics.

He graduated the same year that I did.
It is pretty cool to hear Matt Pinfield on a major NYC radio station
every morning.
He did pretty good for our class of 1979
I felt like I missed something.
I did not go to my 10th reunion
I did not go to my 20th reunion
I did not go to my 30th reunion
I heard 30 people died from my graduating class so far
Would you go to your 30 year High School reunion?
booie..............
Life is going by just a little to fast
> Would you go to your 30 year High School reunion?
I would have (it was in 2006), but I live outside the US, and health
problems kept me from traveling.
It must be weird, though, seeing all those people, many of whom you
remember from classes but where never _really_ friends with, and trying
to find something to say other than "So what have you been doing."
Dunno, maybe I'll go to the 50th reunion...

I just missed my 40th Reunion & with great pleasure that I did so.
Lotsa reasons why.
The PAST is PAST.
No one would remember me.
Why would I want to go & see all the jerks who made my life miserable
back then.
No one from my High Schools Daze has ever contacted me in the past 40
years so again....WHY?...would I want to see any of them????

Go, man! You can probably sleaze out of paying anything, just show up
after pleading vague technical difficulties through the inevitable
phone and email activity leading up to the event, then scarf up
whatever free food and drink you can. And, who knows, with a few
drinks and healthy dose of the booie charm, you might finally, after
all these years, get a coat closet grope of Sally Mae's Mus'n't Touch
It.
Well, that explains the drinking, I suppose...

Sounds like someone got a few swirlies and wedgies in their time!
No.
I went to my ten. It was great. I would have liked to have gone to my
twenty, but was unable to make it. I hope to be at my thirty. I've
maintained some very close friendships with friends I went to high
school with, especially my DH friends. Until recently I had lost
touch though with many of the people peripheral to my HS hang out
"group" that I have fond memories of from HS, but lo and behold
Facebook has brought many if not most of us back together again. Last
March my wife and I made it back up to NY for a casual, unofficial
reunion at a local sports bar in the town I grew up in and almost 200
people showed up. I found it utterly remarkable how friendly
everybody was, lots of good feelings even amongst people that ran in
completely different circles way way way back in the day when we were
in HS.
I'm not much into reunions, but I did just go to a football game at my
old high school with some buddies this past Friday, and that was the
first time I've been back on campus in about half a lifetime.... And,
lemme tell you, that was fucking weird... We walked around the campus
a bit after the game, and the combination of newness and all the
things that are still the same was odd, but it was a blast of
nostalgia that was sorta uncomfortable.. Good and fun memories and
all, but the concept that all of those things that seemed to be very
recent memories were literally half of my lifetime ago was
disturbing...
The whole thing was really disorienting in a way that I've had trouble
putting into words (obviously, given the above mishmash), and
apparently I'm not the only one as two of the guys I went to the game
with mentioned how weird it was to have seen the place again for the
first time in so many years...
When I went back to my high school I was amazed at how small
everything seemed, it was like it had shrunk in the last 20 years. It
was pretty bizarre, I can definitely relate to the sense of
dislocation you felt.

Yeah, but how do you account for the cheroots and the Steve Roach
music?

That's why "the jerks" made his high school life miserable.
I intend to go to mine - it's next year, Friday after Thanksgiving.

Buy the minimum premium membership, just to see who checked your
profile and what is going on. I think the minimum might be 3 months or
something. Then cancel by calling, and they give you like 3 years for
the price of the minimum. Or something like that. Whatever it was,it
was a deal, Since Facebook I will not be renewing that classmates I
don't think. How many like you are hesitant to pay but may be curious?
Facebook is free, and you can search your high school college classes
by year. It did take a while to go Facebook, but resistance is futile,
and it has led to some good contacts from years ago.
