Put my fourteen pound piece of poultry in the oven at 11:27 AM.

By the time that paragon of professional football power, the Detroit Lions
start their game, it should smell like Thanksgiving around here as well.
Bet the smell emanating from the two early games will not be as pleasant.

How about some world-class football to go with my world-class mashed
potatoes.

My 3 lb. breast is in the refrigerator.
Turkey, that is.

We had our turkey day yesterday so Tristan and Simora could be here...
and we made a pie from our home-grown pumpkin that was the best pumpkin
pie ever! So good that next year we'll plant more pumpkins. :)

Today - we're just chillin' at home. :)

Butternut squash soup, turkey breast with stuffing, grilled mixed veggies,
glazed beets, mashed taters with madeira gravy, pumpkin cheesecake for
dessert--all washed down with a bottle of champagne. The football I
couldn't care less about, I'll use that time to finish a piece of furniture
I'm making as a Christmas present for some friends.

Is that your dream dinner or real one?
I wanna eat at your house.
Here we have our Thunderbird *before* the
food, so we don't care how it turns out. ;)

That's dinner here tonight, although the veggies are actually going to be
roasted rather than grilled and I forgot to list the cranberry sauce. We'll
have the same thing tomorrow except with wild mushroom soup and chocolate
cheese cake. I'll rake leaves all week to burn off those meals.

Yum. You have a good life there.
If you can shred the leaves into the lawn,
that is supposed to be really healthy for
the grass.
I just got a call from my friend Cathy who
has been the head Lab tech at the clinic where
I worked with her for 7 years.
She left a Thanksgiving bag of food on my front porch.
How sweet, I never thought I'd be one in need.
I used to help others.
Have a wonderful week, my friend.

I predict Matt Stafford is going to be outstanding QB in the coming
years.

If the Lions don't ruin him, he'll be our next Peyton.

Nope, Simora is Tristan's girlfriend.

No more kids for me - five is enough, thanks... actually, with only 2
home, they are QUITE enough some days!

Simora's mom is Iranian and her dad is Irish. My best friend is Puerto
Rican. A *gang*? Sheesh, 3 constitutes a gang where you come from?

And hey, c'mon out... you'd like the bonfire, I think... unless you and
your llama are too scared of we Vermontuhs.

Though I will never be considered a Vermonter by those born here... I'm
just a flatlander that's been here a while. I get extra points for
creating one Vermonter, and turning 2 more into Vermonters thru ,
though.
