You're fucked either way...but I would take the bridge....
Mountain View is a LOT closer to the Dumb Bridge
than south bay San Hozay....if 101 is fucked on a friday
rush hour, you couls also take el camino down to
( I think it's Rengstorff ave and that is a straight shot to the dump)
err....I meant the concert hall.
Speaking of Shoreline... Any tips for someone who's never been there?
What time do the lots open? How bad can I expect traffic
to be on Friday? Any tailgating restrictions in the lot? etc.
Thx.

There is a good burrito place about a mile west
of Shoreline on Rengstorff or whatever street it
is that runs straight from the amphitheater. They
(the bluecoats) go around and tell you not to hang
out and drink beer in the parking lot and suggest
you go inside. Then they leave. Generally, it's
a pretty laid back scene. I bet you like it.

I'd recommend taking the bridge. It will be a reverse commute. Then
when you get to 101 it will probably be very bad but you're only on
there for a few miles to the Amphitheatre. 237 can be notoriously bad
during rush hour.
Locals often skip the parking lot and park along the road and walk in.
It will save a lot of time when you're leaving.
Not much of a lot scene at Shoreline, but there's a fair amount of
vending on the inside.
The corner of Rengstorff and Old Middlefield has three awesome burrito
places:
La Costena
Taqueria La Bamba
Los Altos Taqueria
La Bamba is Salvadorean and the other 2 are Mexican.

Shoreline has very mellow staffers. Sweetbac had problems because one
time he came straight from work and they wouldn't let him in because
of a dress code violation.
Straight shot to the dump from El Camino will work, but getting from
101 to El Camino will probably really suck at that hour.
Plan for bad traffic getting in. Since getting out can take hours, the
locals usually don't park in the lots but find a spot on a side street
and walk an extra 1/2 mile or so into the show. Not a whole lot going
on in the lots but there is an active scene going on inside.
