You have to love John Lydon - once again he has taken advantage of
being interviewed to mention Our Kate. See short interview in The
Guardian:

Also interesting what he has to say about vinyl. And speaking of
vinyl, my 25-year-old tuner got a little smushed in my most recent
move and is slowly dying a horrible and statickey death. Do they
still make tuners with turntable inputs? Do they still even call them
"tuners"? I presume DJs use them, but I haven't looked at components
in so long that I have no idea what's out there, what's good. Mind
you, I haven't even moved up to HDTV, Blue Ray or surround sound -
and can't really afford to in this economic climate! - but if anyone
has a recommendation, I'd love to hear it.

Actually, Karen, they were called Receivers, not Tuners...unless you
had a dedicated amplifier to go with the tuner, but the amp would have
had the phono inputs.

And, yes, they still exist and they don't cost a fortune. And, you get
a lot more wattage for a lot less money than you used to. Here's a
quick example but there's many to choose from:

As far as HDTV, BluRay and surround sound go, all three have gotten
much less expensive than they used to be.

In some respect, i see that John Lydon
and KB have something in common, they both listen to Roxy Music
sometime during their career!

I think they both also listened to Kate Bush and the Sex Pistols.
