Roy Bailey has a large, widespread and very loyal following worldwide.
He began his singing career in a skiffle group in 1958. For 50 years
he has sung in folk clubs, concerts and festivals the length and
breadth of England,
Scotland and Wales and from Sydney to Vancouver, from Cape Town to
Stockholm.

Opening the concert will be new local outfit The Macaroon Band. The
line-up is two fiddles and piano, with occasional percussion, accordion
and Galician bagpipes. The music is predominantly Scottish,
Appalachian and Cumbrian, with a distinct Shetland feel due in part to
the solid rhythmic piano played in the style of the great Violet
Tulloch, and a mixture of flying fiddle tunes - traditional, quirky,
and full of life.
