Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival lineup

Most of the mainstage performers for the 36th Annual
Newfoundland & Labrador Folk Festival, to be held
August 3--5, 2012 in Bannerman Park in St.John's,
were announced today.
The detailed schedule hasn't been done yet, but you
can get a list of performers with bios by visiting
http://www.nlfolkfestival.com/ and clicking on
Performers.
The ones listed so far are The Once, Amelia Curran,
The Dardanelles, James Keelaghan, Andrew James O'Brien,
The Idlers, Vishten, A Crowd of Bold Sharemen,
Danette Eddy, Jenny Gear with Sandy Morris & Billy Sutton,
Crooked Stovepipe, The Forgotten Bouzouki,
The Rosalines, Bowline, Qristina and Quinn Bachand,
Allan Byrne & Holly Hogan, All the Wiles,
The All-Stars, St. John's Song Circle, and Valerie Hewson.
For pictures and bios see the web page.
There are some super saver early bird weekend
passes for $50. I'm not sure yet if Folk Arts
Society members get a further discount this
year but I will ask about that at Folk Night
next Wednesday.

There wasn't a further discount this year so I
bought a super saver early bird weekend pass
for $55 including service charge and tax, so
$11 for each of the five sessions.
THe super saver period is now over but early
bird weekend passes are available for
$65 including service charge and tax.
