One of the best tracks from Fairport Convention's most celebrated 1969
"Liege and Lief"

(see/reference: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5ksWNvFbME&feature=fvw)

has now been re-produced to startling effect in these latter days, by
an ITALIAN (!!)
folk ensemble, Crann Ull (naming themselves after the Clannad song,
confirm); combined in medley with traditional Scots "Dark Island" -
has anyone noticed? If not, listen here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YNSmLkVis0&feature=related

Their web-site lists these members:

Lidia Boccaccio - voce, organetto, bodhràn (she's the dark-haired one
with glasses)
Matteo Bargioni - violino
Elisa Moro - piano, keyboards
