This reminds me of the first song parody I ever wrote:

AMAZING GREASE

To: "Amazing Grace" (John Newton)

http://www.breadsite.org/midi/amazing_grace-2.mid

Amazing grease, how sweet the sound,
Of poppin', sizzlin' fries!
I once was thin but now am round,
Had knees, now only thighs.

How oft a juicy burger fried,
I've gobbled at a meal,
And felt the grease run down the side,
And on my chin congeal.

So many cooking oils and lard,
I have thus far consumed,
'Tis grease that clogs my beating heart,
By grease I'm surely doomed.

Now Dr. Atkins is my guide,
He tells me what to eat,
And by his book shall I abide,
Until I see my feet.

I live on bacon, cheese, and steak.
They're better than a pill.
No carbohydrate may I take,
But grease will save me still!

Since we're talking about grease...

"Suppertime" (or "A Chat With Your Cardiologist")
from the musical "Portly Obese"
music by Gershwin

"Suppertime,
And your dinner is greasy:
Got your chicken wings.
Got some ribs on the side.

"Your diet's rich;
It's your mamma's home cookin'."
Your doc says, "Don't eat it,
When it's fried.

"One of these mornings,
You'll arise with angina.
Feel your heart do things;
Maybe you're gonna die!

"Heed my warnings --
If you find they alarm you,
You'll just have a salad,
When you dine."

How about "A Grazing Mace: It's only a flesh wound!"

Use "A Grazing Mace, How Sweet the Feel"
to distinguish it from the others

Much more nicely done than my first filk:
"Oh, What a Beautiful Martian."

In my take on Amazing Grace I tried to see how many ways I could rewrite
the first verse.
