Hoping everyone had an enjoyable weekend, and that if Gifts were
given/received they were ones you wanted. (Even if you did not know it
till opened)

I go a new MB for my laptop (My gift to me) Got to hear my Daughter play
Flute at the Midnight Mass (Since I sit in front of her in Choir I
really got to hear her play) Got to sing all 3 Christmas services. (One
LONG night) and.... Well, it just don't get much better.

I got a new (BIG) mixer. the motor on the old one burned out. (And I
wasn't even making bread!) Also, we are in the process of getting a new
car. As tomorrow (27th) is our 36th anniversary, the car is our
Christmas/anniversary gift to us. We also got a pile of Dr. Who DVDs.

I'm so confused. At first I thought you got an audio mixer. BIG is
good, right? Then you added 'motor' -- big + motor = cement mixer; you
can make big batches of dough with one of those.

I'll catch up eventually.

(We got ourselves another rescue dog for Christmas... Maggie. She had a

Congratulations.

We showed the Eartha Kitt songs from NEW FACES OF 52 yesterday, amazing
several people who never saw the lady at her best, singing "Santa Baby"
and "Monotonous" and other songs.

We've now taken down our "Happy Birthday Sir Isaac Newton" sign but the
apples will stay up on the front porch till our Rose Parade Viewing
Party (and Bllars book sale: 15 papers for $5) is over, on January 2nd.

Barry decided our old cup strainer was falling apart, so we examined
what was for sale and he decided on a sifter which he's going to use as
a strainer instead.

Yep. the slightly longer version called something like: Extended Length
Limited Edition. Hence, she shall be called Miss Ellie.

Waiting for relatives to drive over from out of town for the rest of
the gifties.

So far, I have a Jeff Dunham dvd, and a nice addition to my dice
collection. A tobacco pipe with a six-sided die as the bowl.

How usable is it as a die?

We will be trading him in. He is a 1998 Expedition. Although he
currently runs VERY well, they no longer make replacement parts for him.
Assuming we were to sell him to you(for cheap) how would you get to
Southern California to fetch him?

Our 98 Expy went about 200,000 miles when the front wheel came off.
(not the tire, the wheel). We replaced it with a '03.
If you get a blue one we will match again. ;-)

We recently had to have him repaired. On the way home from Reno
(WorldCon) his lights started flashing and he was making weird noises,
etc. Anyway, he was in the shop for so long we were afraid he would be
back for LosCon (Thanksgiving weekend). He was, but it was close. this
was an object lesson. Yes, we might be able to get the parts on Ebay -
if we know what he needs. But it is getting iffy. Ford's Parts Catalog
was messed up, too, BTW.

Ford's parts catalog has always been messed up. It helps if you know
which parts are used on other models. I had that problem with my old
Ranger, when I ordered Ranger parts I got the wrong suspension
bushings, finally ordered Explorer bushings and they were the right
ones.

There are lots of "Vintage vehicle" parts stores, J C Whitny if I have
spelled it right, (They are in Chicago but all over via WWW) is about
the largest. They have parts for cars I've never heard of.

I could use a cheap ride too, but alas, no way to get to CA soon.
