Google shows a bunch of hits for "filk" on her site. A
December 2004 journal entry there shows, "And we filked until I have
somewhat blistered fingers."
My search was:
filk site:cherryh.com
which translates to page
http://www.google.com/search?q=filk+site:cherryh.com&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=10&sa=N

Wonderful news.
Urr, please note after this not to just put a name as the Subject.
"CJ Cherryh GoH" wouldn't have made me feel scared that she'd died.
She wrote several songs that appeared in the Barbecued Songbook, but
that was years ago. I haven't heard of her writing anything lately.
There are a number of songs about her stuff, of course. You could ask f
she'd like to attend a theme circle of songs bout her works, and maybe
even sing some of her own songs there.

Leslie Fish has a story about meeting CJ Cherryh in here:
which was wrong, now fixed ;-)
And mine. Lee is quite right about being a tad more specific.
