I've posted a first shot at a history of early (pre-OVFF) filk cons,
using information from various people who have posted here. There are
obvious inconsistencies, some resulting from people's different
recollections, some perhaps from my having misinterpreted what they
said. Please give me any corrections you think are needed.

Toledo was FilkCon II, with Marty Burke as GoH.

FilkCon I was indeed held in Arlington Heights IL.
It did not have a GoH.

Filkcon West was held June 5-7, 1981 at the LASFS Building.

Maxi-Filk was a one day con held on May 15th 1982.(Also at the LASFS
Buildings.) It was hosted by Kushyon's Flight House. It started at noon,
and had a Performer's Session after dinner.

Officially, it's the LASFS Clubhouse, not the LASFS Building.
11513 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood.

Thanks, Barney.

Well, it wasn't at a private home but at the LASFS Clubhouse.
If I recall properly, we used the LASFS mimeograph to duplicate
songs. If I recall properly, there were over fifty people there.

I don't remember if there was a membership charge. Barney?

"Kushyon's Flyte House" was an SCA group.

I've read the updated web page; regarding the filk cons 4.1 and 4.2,
KC is at least east of LA, hence the parenthetical identifiers.
