We're planning for an Ace Double-style Program Book.

Yes, we're going to have a songbook.
It'll be handed out in the filk rooms rather than to all Westercon
members, unless someone persuades me and Nick to a different policy.

Out of curiosity, what is the reason for the combining of the 2 conventions
for 2010?

We usually don't have a ConChord at all if there's a Westercon or
Worldcon in the LA area. This lets us still have one in 2010 without
asking out of towners to budget for two trips to the LA area.

There may be more reasons, of course.
I'm just the ConChord songbook publisher.
Nick Smith is con chair.

I think I have managed to persuade Nick to have the 2010 songbook in two
parts: A mini-songbook that goes to ALL Westercon members and the
maxi-songbook that goes to everyone who drops into the filkroom. I
don't know if the ini-songbook will be part of the convention Program
Book or a separate publication in your program book bag.

Should we ask filk dealers and publishers if they're interested in
taking ads in the ConChord part of the Program Book? Would the Filk
Hall of Fame or Interfilk be interested in this way of reaching out to
non-filkers?
