Thanks to a mystery lady, I know have this in itunes.  You were right
Gemini, I do like it.  I like the chord changes, the keyboard sound,
the very slightly funky feel, and Neil's voice is pretty good.  Thanks
for the tip.  Should I go the whole hog and get the album?  Ps:  It's
in between Bob's 1 minute take on See That My Grave Is Kept Clean from
the Smith Home Tapes and See Those Eyes by Altered Images.  Nice eh?

Indeed.  And I think you'd like the whole album.  Neil's at a low
point in his life on this one and it shows in tracks like 'motion
pictures' (his ex-wife was an actress) and the title track.   But his
artistry was in full force.

There is a version of this song on the Byrds Reunion album (1973)
released before the NY version. The Byrds album is somewhat
disappointing, but the high spot of the album is unquestionably "See
the sky about to rain" with Gene Clark taking the lead vocal. A
wonderful song.

Are you talking about "On the Beach"?  Certainly you
should get it.

It was available only on vinyl for a long time.  I think
it was finally released on CD not too long ago.
