My American dream
Fell apart at the seams
You tell me what it means
You tell me what it means
I guess I do have a bad attitude. Why say anything bad about Bob in a
Dylan newsgroup? I'm sure that there are some people here who think that
Bob & Willie doing Heartland is the finest epiphany in the history of
western civilization.
But they way I feel, when Bob's being bad, we must speak up. What kind
of friends are we if we don't tell him?
Yeah, if it weren't for Don, B.D. would be just like Michael Jackson is
today. Sometimes yesmen are bad men.
It means corporations have taken over the farmlands of America. True, but
lyrically a little lame.
This was '92? Maybe that's why he recorded two cover albums around that
time. Those are great albums, but he probably needed to return to his
roots to reconnect with the song writing again.
True, but sometimes Bob doesn't listen to me. I was against the jowl
tuck he had done on his face. I said,"Bob, don't mess around with
plastic surgery or you'll end up with your face rotting off, like the way
Michael Jackson's is."
Don,
Are you feeling blue?
How do you sleep at night?
how's your appetite?
and your energy level?
Do you have a hard time concentrating?
Are you feeling helpless, hopeless, worthless?
Problems with anxiety?
Do you find yourself tearful?
Any thoughts of hurting yourself or others?
Have you been listening to Nirvana?
Mr. Tanbourine Man is a great song. I just got through explaining that
to a 26 year old who heard him upsing it in NY and thinks she's sick and
tired of the song. I explained how he made the song come alive for me
like never before when I heard him sing it on the BobVanJoni tour.
I like Tombstone Blues on Unplugged, and just got through posting that
fact to someone who thought the whole concert sucked.
I think Going Going Gone is such a good song, I'm even going to make my
Dylan hating wife listen to it.
And I think the ambiguity Dylan slipped into Absolutely Sweet Marie's
gage/gauge controversy is brillaint
>
AH HA! now where getting somewhere. . .Going going gone for your wife.
But seriously, I don't believe I've ever heard Dylan suck. He is at
times not very profound, but in the end he is just entertaining us.
Heartland is a nice little song that fits the occasion.
>
Neither has Jim Guitar Center, but he never impunes my motives
"impunes", is that a word?
I was not questioning your motives, if that's what you mean. You just
seem so negative.
> Are you feeling blue?
No- I'm a happy camper
> How do you sleep at night?
Better than Paul McCartney
>how's your appetite?
I have a fantastic appetite for good food. I love to discuss diet.
>and your energy level?
ADD
>Do you have a hard time concentrating?
I do get bored easily
>Are you feeling helpless, hopeless, worthless?
The opposite. That's why I love to share my opinions.
>Problems with anxiety?
nope
>Do you find yourself tearful?
double nope
>Any thoughts of hurting yourself or others?
Absolutely not
>Have you been listening to Nirvana?
No, I think they mainly suck The only album of theirs I have is their
unplugged.
I'm just a normal guy who thinks Heartland sucks. I suspect I'm in the
majority here.
(sorry about that "imupune" business though. I must have meant another
word.)

You've just misspelled it. It's impugn, which looks really weird, but
that's not it's strangest spelling, which may be the Old English version:
inpungneden.
Wow, thanks pilgrim. This just shows you the limitations of the
internet. There's no obvious homonym function like there is a thesaurus
function
Homonyms are words that sound the same but have different meanings, like
which witch and bolder boulder.
For what it's worth, impugn is the generally accepted spelling and widely
used in UK English but an online search throws up 'impune' in Websters.
