including songs that haven't been heard for a while, like:

next weeks show and putting in last weeks show in the 2nd segment, or
Talonian is trying to prove to the station that their station is being
recorded and posted on the newsgroups by sending them a bogus show to play.
I don't know this for sure 'cause no one has posted hearing the correct
'Magic Show' to be sure Talonian didn't screw up and send everyone next
weeks show with last weeks 2nd segment. If anyone did hear the 'Magic Show'
on the radio, please state so. This can provide support to the belief that
Talonian is going after the few stations still streaming current shows. By
the way, WLVQ didn't stream a show this Sunday AM. Message kept repeating
that the stream was down.

If you're right, Talonian would be "tainting" the show they're sending to KRDE,
and may be in breach of their own syndication agreement....
We'll never hear an answer to this, but does Barry Hansen approve of this kind
of thing?...I've never heard definitively who actually runs Talonian, so I'm not
sure which situation applies: is he complicit in the shutting down of streams,
or is he bound by his own agreement to pretend he goes along with what they're
doing?...
As a musical historian, I'm sure he's aware of the precedents for what happens
when the money people squeeze the creative people to revolt...there's the
founding of United Artists, the creation of BMI to compete with ASCAP, the
musician's union strikes of the 40s, and the failed campaign to outlaw recording
tape in the 70s...the people squeezing too hard *always* come out holding the
short end of the stick in the end, but in the meantime the customers suffer...if
things don't straighten out soon, Dr D will be forced to go web-only, off the
air altogether, or ditch his draconic handlers and shed his famous name
(remember when Famous Amos and Prince lost the use of their *real* names to
legal squabbles?)...
Or someone else will pick up the slack and the Dr Demento show will fade from
view due to lack of interested listeners...I don't want to see it happen, but
the thin end of the wedge came some time ago....r

Does WLVQ generally stream? The one time I tried it, about 2 or 3
months ago, the streaming shut off just before 8 A.M. Eastern.
I know another station which uses the same streaming service as WLVQ,
KPIG had some problems and this weekend and they have changed its
streaming URL. (which you have to use tricks. (they want you to listen
through their popup but you can get the URL using tricks with packet
sniffers and browser plugins)

about b4 that cause I didn't know about them then. Their stream has
deadspots in it and they step on the beginning of segments.

I have no idea, and I'd love to hear an answer as well.
What's sad is that the Dr. Demento Show these days consists 80% or
more of non-RIAA artists, who would be grateful for the increased
exposure of getting their material streamed online.
Since radio stations now have to pay the RIAA/SoundExchange licensing
fee in order to stream online, why not just let the Dr. Demento Show
be rolled into this? Then, it wouldn't be a worry for Talonian.
It would make sense for Talonian to let the radio stations deal with
the licensing fees, since they now let the radio stations play their
own commercials as well. But, these days, nothing Talonian does seems
to make sense, making it all a moot point.
