I am sure that I'm not alone in being sad that the good Doctor seems
to be vanishing from the airwaves. Up until several years ago, I
listened to the show on a local station. It was one of the highlights
of my week. But then, one night when I tuned in, I was surprised to
hear that he was gone. I'm glad we can still listen by streaming the
show over the internet, but not everyone has the money to pay for the
show every week. I certainly don't. Oh well, I still have my memories.

Where is your fight? Get a bunch of your friends and call the various
radio stations in your area! Do some home work and find out what Dr D
needs in order to consider airing his show in your area!

It would certainly help if Dr D allowed himself to list the stations
on his website so people could actually know where to hear him on the
radio.

But it is true that until about January 2008, there was no official list of stations. That had to
decrease the number of listeners. When the stations list was added to drdemento.com, there were
only 8 stations, even though the homepage said the show is heard on well over 100 stations. Dr.
Demento was pulling a Crazy Jay, I thought.

Does that 100 include AFRTS? I seem to recall hearing him on the
Arm Forces radio when I was in Spain.

Just about the time you finally see light at the end of the tunnel,
you find out it's a Government Project to build more tunnel.

The wider quote from drdemento.com was "heard on well over 100 stations coast to coast."

I get the "allowed himself" reference. For a long time, Dr. Demento would say that the show's
distributor would not allow a list of stations, implying that it was beyond Dr. Demento's control.
Then in October 2007, Dr. Demento revealed that the show's distributor, Talonian Productions, was
his own company.
