Week of February 26, 2007 Officially Declared Nashville's "Country Radio
Week"
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 15th, 2007) - For the third consecutive year,
Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc. Ž has received a resolution declaring the
week of February 26, 2007 as "Country Radio Week" in Nashville. The
resolution was filed by Nashville Councilman Charlie Tygard and was approved
by the Council of the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson
County.
This honor was established to help recognize the Country Radio Seminar Ž
(CRS) and its reputation as a unique radio educational forum. CRS has been a
staple in the Country music industry for 38 years and is a vital informative
factor for the Country radio format.
The resolution states, "Country radio promotes Nashville tourism daily by
broadcasting information about our city and its attractions. Country radio
is also the primary medium for the exposure of Country music, an endeavor
that employs many Nashvillians as artists, writers and producers. Country
Radio Seminar will bring together Country radio professionals from all
across America together with attendees from the Country music industry."
CRB Executive Director Ed Salamon notes, "It is significant that Nashville
continues to recognize, through this proclamation, the importance of Country
radio to the general economy of the city, through its impact on the music
business."
CRS-38 provides continuing education for industry professionals, artists,
programmers, promotions and sales executives and media. In addition to
programming and promotion panels, research presentations, artist showcases
and discussion forums, the CRS-38 agenda will focus on industry issues
which impact Country radio sales and programming departments and all facets
of the Nashville record industry.
CRS-38 will be held February 28 through March 2, 2007 at the Nashville
Convention Center. Complete seminar information may be obtained by
contacting CRB, Inc. at 615.327.4487 or by visiting www.crb.org. Country

Laura Bryna Wows Station with Make A Wish Composition New Single, "I Don't
Have A Thing To Wear" Impacting Radio Now
Nashville, TN - New Equity Music Group recording artist Laura Bryna made
quite an impression on staffers at KKWF/The Wolf in Seattle during a recent
station visit where she debuted her new single, "I Don't Have A Thing To
Wear." During a discussion about the station's upcoming radiothon supporting
the Make-A-WishŽ Foundation on February 23, Laura mentioned her longtime
involvement with the charity, which began when her brother was seriously ill
and in a coma at Children's Hospital in Washington, D.C. years ago. She and
her mother would visit her brother at the hospital every day, and during
those visits Laura noticed many big celebrities coming to visit sick
children and inquired about the organization. She and her mother both became
devoted to the foundation from that point on, and Laura later co-wrote a
song called "Make A Wish" about the cause. The Program Director and Music
Director at KKWF were so impressed with Laura's heartfelt passion for the
foundation and the song she wrote, they invited her to tell her story and
perform the song on tape to air during their upcoming radiothon.
". . . her passion for Make-A-WishŽ and her song "Make A Wish" are perfect
for our radiothon," said KKWF Music Director, Valerie Hart.
Laura's new single, the sultry "I Don't Have A Thing To Wear," is currently
causing quite a stir at radio. The song scored a very high 71% on Blair
Garner's After Midnite, and had the largest spin increase last week,
according to Country Aircheck. The song was penned by Monty Holmes and Monty
Criswell, and she'll film her very first video for the tune later this
month. Currently visiting radio stations all across the country, Laura has
been busy gearing up for the release of her new album on Equity later this
year.

Alberta Born Leah Durelle is 'Not Sorry' to be Climbing Nashville Charts
With three previous albums under her belt, Canadian teen, Leah Durelle
released '9 Days in Nashville' in late 2006.
The first single from the CD, "I'm Not Sorry" recently leapt into the top
30% of the Music Row Chart, jumping to #64 this week, placing Leah's song
ahead of several country artists such as Vince Gill, Kelly Pickler, Jimmy
Wayne, Daryl Singletary and Taylor Swift. The song charted aggressively on
New Music Weekly's Up & Coming Chart with 1,049 spins in the first week.
"Very nicely produced pop-country. She sings with verve, and the melody is
just yummy."
Robert K. Oermann, Music Row Critic
The album was given the honor of "CD Spotlight" on award-winning internet
radio station, IradioLA and according to station manager, Mark Maverick, it
is a "tremendous effort in traditional and pop country. It's a hit all
around."
"What a brilliant voice . The whole album is just superb!" - Peggy MacNeil,
Isles Radio
Leah is set to perform at the 2007 North American Country Music Association
(NACMAI), Int'l Annual Awards in Pigeon Forge, TN on March 10th. Being a
previous award winner, she is returning this year as a featured entertainer.
In 2003, she was named Best Female Vocalist, Best Female Entertainer and
given the award for Best CD . all at the tender age of 11.
Leah was a past Northlands Park Country Vocal Spotlight winner and is a
Global Country Heritage Foundation alumni along side artists such as
Samantha King, Brett Kissel, Tiffany Dowhan, Michael Carey and Aaron
Goodwin.
This Canadian Teen is making a mark in Nashville and the USA and I'm sure
she is definitely 'Not Sorry' if climbing the Nashville charts is an
indication.
Canada should be proud of the accomplishments Leah has achieved and the
charting position that's she's been able to attain as a Canadian and an
Independent artist. To make it as an artist in the American market is quite
a feat and Leah is doing it.
Leah is one of Canada's best kept secrets...

Jokers Wild Band
The Jokers Wild Band has released their debut original single "And the
Rain." "And the Rain" can be found on CDX #416 track 11, CDTEX, Mark Trail's
comp disc, and March's Hot Disk (Europe).
"And The Rain," a hard driving country power ballad, was written by
keyboardist Buck Aaron Thomas and lead guitarist Gary Zaiontz. "If you have
ever had a major fight with the one you love, then had to stay awake late
into the morning hoping that they would come home, all of which during a
monstrous thunder storm, then this is your song!" says Buck.
Jokers Wild's release of the single "And the Rain" is the result of one
complete year of recording, fine tuning, mixing and mastering. "We like to
refer to this recording as the place where high quality Texas Music meets
Nashville Recording Standards", says Gary Zaiontz. "Some have said that the
song is actually a rock power ballad cleverly disguised as a country tune.
However it comes across to the listener, few can argue with the hard-hitting
emotional power of its lyrics. If you have ever waited up late at night
during a rainstorm for the one you love to call or come through the door,
this is your song! We took great care to construct it with amazing sounding
instrumentation and screaming seamless vocal harmonies. It just had to be as
perfect as we could get it!"
The Jokers Wild Band, a 6-piece country / rock band, was formed in the first
quarter of 2002, and has since entertained thousands of audience members
throughout the larger Texas dance hall circuit. In 2006, Jokers Wild
performed at the Toyota National Sales Convention held at the Joe and Harry
Freeman Coliseum, in San Antonio, Texas. Jokers Wild was honored to be asked
to perform among a distinguished prior head of state, as well as such
legendary nationally recognized talent and comedic celebrities.
"Gaining a strong presence in the international radio market, and attracting
a well funded indie or major label are both very daunting tasks, even for a
well established regional performance band like Jokers Wild", says Buck
Thomas. "With over two full length albums of our own great original material
ready to follow this release, and the continued love and support of our
families and loyal fans, I figured we stood as good, if not a better chance
of making the cut as anyone else!"

Leon Seiter
Leon Seiter has released Christian country single, "I've Seen the
Devil Have His Way," off of his In the Shadows of a Honky Tonk cd. Leon, who
wrote the song, says "I heard Kris Kristofferson sing a song about drinking
the Devil's beer for nothing, and I thought I'd write a song about the
Devil!"
Leon has been singing in honky-tonks since the early 60's. This
traditional country artist began receiving national attention in country
music circles when his record, Sentenced to Live, received national airplay
in the United States, Canada, Germany, and France. Leon has since had five
nationally charting singles, including "You Can Always Count on Me", "Love
Is Just a Game", and "Under You Spell Again" from his current album, In the
Shadows of a Honky Tonk.
Leon Seiter has had the pleasure of opening major concert tours across
the nation with several top entertainers in the world of country music, such
as George Jones, Hank Williams Jr., Porter Wagoner, Tanya Tucker, Tom T.
Hall, Tammy Wynette, Mel Tillis, Loretta Lynn, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Tex
Ritter. Citing Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb, Marty Robbins, and Johnny Cash as
his inspirations, Leon's songs of pain, sorrow, love, and country life are a
refreshing addition to the country pop artists on today's country radio.
Leon's wit and charm has landed him on countless television and radio
talk shows, including The Ralph Emery Show. It also aided in his induction
in to the Michigan Country Music Hall of Fame in June of 2000 and the
America's Old Time Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004.
