Hi Folks, we are headed down to a family reunion in Tallahassee, Florida for
Thanksgiving weekend this year and were hoping to connect with some
musicians down there and maybe even get a little dance band together for the
weekend. The family expresses an interest in planning a dance or something.
We used to know some (like 25 years ago!) folks who played around there but
can't quite remember who they were or where they lived!
Thanks, Nancy Sluys

I'm only a couple hours from there, maybe we can get some visiting in
then?

Hi Nancy,

Try this link to the local dance society:

http://www.tallydancer.com/

There are other links for Florida dance groups listed on the Old Time
Music & Dance Community Website.

http://oldtimemusicanddance.homestead.com/C_Fla.html

O yeah, there's also a listing on the Old Time Jams page for
Tallahassee Old-Time Music Jam: First Thursday of every month 6:30 pm -
9:00 pm --
Market Square, under the Pavilion Corner of Timberlane Road and Market
Street, Tallahassee, FL. Jam is hosted by Mary Cox, and Tom & Kay Van
Treese. Bring a pickin' chair, and your tunes! Hope to see you all
there.
For more information, call Mary at 950.422.3298, or Tom & Kay at
950.342.3536
Or email Kay at k...@mcraeco.com

good luck, OJBC

Mary, of course, has her website: www.maryzcox.com. I assume it has
more up-to-date contact info. But she and Kay are surely where you
want to start in Tallahassee.
