Hello Friends,

Here is te latest update on the Suwannee Banjo Camp: We hve new
classes by Sule Greg Wilson, Greg C. Adams and Bill Paine (see below).


Invitation: Join us this year at Suwannee Banjo Camp. Come study with
some of today's best players and teachers. Our program features hands-
on classes, demonstrations, and a big faculty concert, and still
leaves lots of time for jamming with your fellow banjo enthusiasts. We
feature instruction in both bluegrass and "old-time" banjo (that is,
clawhammer and old-time fingerpicking). We also offer instruction in
old-time fiddle and ekonting (an African ancestor of the banjo).

Dates: Fri-Sun March 19-21 2010,
Place: O'Leno State Park in High Springs, Florida

Update:

Here are some new developments at Suwannee Banjo Camp.

- Greg C. Adams will assist Sana Ndiaye in the African Roots Program.
He will also teach an intro class in minstrel or "stroke-style" banjo.

- Sule Greg Wilson -- a noted percussionist and dancer with a unique
approach to the banjo -- will attend SBC and also teach a special
class designed to help students explore the Afro-American rhythms
that underlie old time music.

- Guitarist Bill Paine will be returning and will teach a special
class in old-time backup guitar.

-Wayne Rogers, President of Gold Tone, will present a banjo set-up
class.
