I venture to guess that you're referring to the "amped-up" Gothic-style
piece that was used by the U.S. Marines for most of the 80's and into the
90's. It is my understanding that this piece was written specifically for
that particular recruitment campaign by setting the Latin versions of the
words "Honor..., Duty...", etc. to a Heavy Metal/Gothic-like beat. As far
as I know, this music is unavailable to the public.

I don't think it's limited to the marines, but Copland's Fanfare to the Common
Man is used for recruitment commercials. It's not quite a song...but would
that be what you were referring to? It's dramatic, with only brass and
percussion.
