Sidney Bechet plays La nuit est une sorcière + Erroll Garner plays himself

And now for something somewhat off the beaten track.

1] Sidney Bechet (foremost soprano saxophonist) composed, maybe in an
attempt to out-gershwin Gershwin, the ballet La nuit est une sorcičre.
The music is not bad, interesting even, but the timing of the French
orchestra is, especially in the pieces together with Bechet where they
are not able to translate his timing to their fingers.

2] "Real jazz is classical music now" said Kenny Clarke, so the
intrusion of some Erroll Garner is not too much OT. Garner was a piano
beast and is in this solo recordings on his most extravert. I ask
especially attention for the Chopin Impressions. A very male
chauvinist Chopin indeed.
