There seems to be three versions of the EMI Falstaff:
1. Great Recordings of the Century, 1999 remaster
2. "Brown Bag" version, which I think is the GROC above
3. A beige cover CD with the original LP cover inset, marked "EMI Classics. The home of opera"
I just ordered the GROC, but listening on Spotify I seem to be hearing that the EMI Classics above no.3 has more transparency and better treble.
Can somebody clear this mystery up?
