1) Eschewing the surface effects and all sentimentality
2) Getting to the true meaning by
a) Executing the proper weight and character of attack and making
sure that the attack is PART of the architecture and NOT the
architecture itself
b) Execution of the proper sonorous value of every voice

Unfortunately one cannot hear the above when spurious and specious
frequency material is piled on top of the Music like lumpy gravy, as
Jack Pfeiffer did in the AT Collection. Believe it or not, underneath
that lumpy gravy we have sublimity of performance
