That cartridge looks really cheap. I can only imagine the inner
groove distortion that this thing would produce. I can certainly see
the convenience factor here but that plastic turntable doesn't look
like it would sound good. One reviewer there said that he had to
place a dime on the headshell to make it sound acceptable.

It's not the best one they do. I have a better ION model which enables control of tracking mass and anti-skate and it's not bad.

Only violently negative ones. Unless someone doesn't care about the quality
of the results, this is not the way to transfer LPs -- especially classical
recordings. You need about $300 worth of turntable, $100 worth of pickup,
and $100 worth of preamp.

IF (and that's a big IF) I were buying such a product, I 'd get an
Audio-Technica unit. At least they make their own pickups.

Sounds like the first 33 RPM record player that I owned back in the
late 50's, I put two nickels and a dime on the tone arm.

This is not a turntable, is a piece of crap, ceramic cartridge,
plastic plate, very poor designed tonearm...
