Does anybody have video recordings with Albert Coates to upload?

Thanks in advance!

Well - there's this, but it may not be what you expected :-)

Yes, I've seen this.
But I was wondering whether there are more videos of him.
I'm a big fan of the Maestro, and seeing him "do the thing" is a great
pleasure!

Well - he's a much better conductor than a screen actor!

Sadly I am unaware of any other videos available. IIRC there might be
some silent films of him conducting in the British Library archives,
but unfortunately they are not accessible on the internet.

You get the merest glimpse of Coates in the war-time Robert Taylor
movie "Song of Russia" (1944) but blink and you miss him. What a waste
of a great talent he was in the two Hollywood movies in which he made
brief appearances. According to this link, he wasn't even credited as
being in the cast, but that's not surprising since his on-screen
appearance as the pianist in the Tchaikovsky 1st Piano Concerto lasts
about 2 seconds.

Ah yes -

Song of Russia was on a few months ago but it didn't register with me
until a few days afterward that Coates was in it (damn)

He was also credited as the conductor/director of the picture's
musical score.
