Found on Amazon.de this evening:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B009L4JTFI

The price is not bargain basement, but more mid-rpice ($4-6 per CD).

Could be all new, but most likely a reissue of the Astree recordings of 20 or so years ago.

I have not researched elsewhere to uncover more.

Over the years I hear mostly good reports, many favoring Badura-Skoda as the best Beethoven artist on the fortepiano.

Opinions?

Can't remember where I read it, but IIRC it is a reissue of his most recently-recorded cycle. Nothing new.

There was an XRCD boxed set of his 70's fortepiano cycle reissued last year in Japan.

I'm curious to know about Badura-Skoda's various cycles (three?) as well.

Nope, this Gramola thing is a reissue of Badura-Skoda's first complete set (originally for Intercord I think), recorded in 1969-70 on a modern piano.
Still interesting, though.

Maybe someday Naive (owner of the Astree catalogue) will reissue at last his second complete set, the famous one, on fortepiano. But don't hold your breath...

This is a set worth having IMO. it's consistently interesting.

Maybe Paul Komen is more inspired. And maybe the set from multiple
pianists on Claves has higher points too.

But Badura Skoda on Astree is very satisfying/
