I finally blocked everything from gmail after the ridiculous flood of
spam/scam/troll. I will miss posters like Rugby and a few others, but
the situation has gotten totally out of hand.

I guess that blocking GMail will be insufficient protection,
when such a perverted troll can also post from Yahoo, etc.

I hardly use it. But my experience is that Google has a very good spam filter,
and very rarely a spam post gets into the inbox. I usuallly have around 800
messages in the 'spam' folder (that only contains items of the last 30 days).
