Cutaway nylon string that doesn't sound like crap 
  Does one exist? I started with classical training, but play more jazz and bossa nova than anything else, and I like having a cutaway, but the ones I've tried just don't sound like a good classical guitar. My Ovation ( Celebrity ) is old and intonation is terrible. Patrick

Generalizations about tops and string tension 
  I heard a student's guitar today, brand new, high tension strings on a cedar top guitar, sounded stuffy to me. Is there any general "rule" about whether cedar or spruce works better with high tension strings? -S-
