Groovy, Alain! Just enough a hint of lamenting but light-hearted mood
to start a Saturday morming. This goes well with my cup of green tea.
Cheers,
John
P.S. The guitar sounds very sweet, BTW.

Heu ...Yes I made that transcription from the score (which is in Eb)and the youtube Tom Waits version (the real thing beside the bass at mm 3 (on the C nat.) which should be an octave lower (and the intro, that I threw in at the last minute) the music is quite within the range of our instrument.

Loved the fingering. That's certainly your own style. I like playing music like that cause it makes me look smarter and more sensitive... 👍

Well ... I had no choice ... I took the gig and I had to prepare it as the performance will be next week (and that my luck to dicover this piece and do the transcrp..) ... I'll be backing up a mezzo soprano voice ... now if you haven't heard the original ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLB0VEUerBY ... it's quite a step up in voice register!

Alain, your music is very good, but your videos suck! If you need the
mike to be that close then instead of cutting off your head it would be
better to cut off your right hand.

That's very true, unless Alain is looking for RH feedback. I am not
sure what is accomplished by featuring the neck of a middle aged man
on a video! Let's face it, guys, our necks are not quite what they
used to be.

Thanks for the introduction to this great tune. I was a little put-off by Waits' vocal but when he sings that last line, it just kills me...
I've seen Waits in movies cause I like independent film. "Down by Law" is one of my favorite flicks. I also think "Mystery Men" is a real hoot but don't tell anybody. :-)

I scream for ice cream (forgot the name of that film ... but that scene is memorable!)... he was the perfect choice for the imaginarium of Doctor Parnassum to play the Devil!
yeah ... the smoky voice ... the alchool ... the bars... not the sooth after role model!
I too love independant movies ... but since the demize of Bluck Buster (which desapeared without a complaint)they are more difficult to track ... it seems that globalization is closing in ...
