Oh my God! That guy is unbelievable! I listened to the whole thing,
thanks....... I did have a hard time listening to his frigid thin
spruce guitar tho especially playing that kind of music, something
with more balls would have complemented his playing more.

Did you hear this?

Nice chops, and nice arrangement. It's certainly more refined than the
Heitmeyer arrangement I used to play.

I remember mentioning this guy a few years back ... I believe
before youtube was the sensation is it today .... but there were still
a good number of performance videos floating around out there. This
guy just blew me away with his technique. He played some Irish piece
and some Russian piece and he was dazzling. The post had something to
do with the best guitarists out there but people here were either
unaware of him or not interested or both. Anyway, I'm glad to see this
guy get some recognition. Btw, I recall actually not being overly
impressed with his aranjuez video 1st movement I think the mic
placement was off IIRC. Paulo

Yes, some 4 or 5 years ago I read about him and this feat.

It's apathical acception and indifference in the Barnyard.

That 1st. movement is a whole lot of work with little musical reward,
imo.

He is truly phenomenal in my estimate. Frankly, I haven't watched and
listened to a guitarist with great interest in years!

In some chordal sequences his left hand strikes multiple stops with
incredible, graceful and musical force...remaining relaxed as he
blasts his way through them.

I wouldn't have taken my guitar out of it's case with that monster
around... he'd eat you alive!

I'm so happy to have seen this!

I only see the link for this guitarist ("Another great guitarist") but I
never saw the link for the one in the preceding message. Can you repost?

Indeed. There are a lot of players who play fast or have a

I know what you mean. :) I don't know wether to be inspired or
just give up. Of course each one of us has to remind ourselves why
we play. If my goal was to achieve the heights of him or a Russell
or ,insert, I'd have quit playing years ago. One can only give ones
best effort and enjoy the music first and
foremost. ................Still .....

That IS the question: Hamlet says " To What Purpose Do I Play?."
This can be the most important question, for some.

Mabye, the next question is: " What Should I Play?"

Answer to question 1.

Consider, you only get to walk this trail ONCE! You don't get to ask
the big guy (fill in the blank or magic Jew of your choice ) if you
can take the last 10 or 20 yrs. over! You want to leave this earth
with as few regrets as you can. Right?

Yes?...............................

Does this help?

On the ancient wall of China,
Where a brooding Buddha blinks,
Deeply graven is the message,
It’s later than you think.

The clock of time is wound but once,
And no man has the power,
To tell just where the hands will stop,
At late or early hour.

Now is all the time you own,
The past a golden link.
Go ________ now my brothers,
It’s later than you think.

Paulo, I made it real easy, just fill in the blank?
