I noticed a nice picture of our Ed Bridge and his lovely wife Kirsti
Kaldora. First time I've seen
a picture. They make a lovely couple. Good luck with the biz guy.
A mention of our own Steven Bornfeld DDS.as a donor to the GFA. I won't
specify which amount.
A mention of Michael Lorimer participating in the 2006 Mannes College of
Music four day
festival celebrating N.Y city guittarists. I haven't seen Michael coming
out and doing anything
in a long while. Dates July 5 -9th, 2006.
I was surprised to see pictures of guitarists I have met in years past
and how they have changed.
One nice thing is that now the GFA has listed it's categories for
donations.
They are getting their advertizing going, and the publication is
beginning to look more professional.
This issue features the back of a Thomas Humphrey guitar with a painting
done on the back of women
acrobats in the nude in a quasi art deco / Italian renaissance style
alal Botticelli. Go to Humphrey's
website to see more.
Maybe I'll have to do an abstract or seascape on the back of one of
mine. Yeeeks.Well for now I
prefer painting an original painting for the label. Anyway a lot of good
articles with a lot of good pictures.
Oh yeah & Roger Cope who on occaison posts here shows up a lot as well.
A very busy man!
Nice issue.

I think that Richard Long and the rest of the staff are doing a great
job. Even the scheduling problems seem gradually to be being eliminated.
I must say perhaps my favorite regular feature is "the Transcriber's
Art" by Richard Yates.
I see that I haven't mailed in my ballot for the advisory board
yet--it's due April 15th!

Thanks for mentioning Richard Yates another of our rmcg contributors. He has
nice article and another piece offered in the volume. I had crawled away to bed
when I realized I had mistakenly omitted him.
Ciao,
Richard Spross
There are at least two other folks posting here that are listed on the
donor's list--one is Dr. Kiesel, and the other I don't want to out as he
posts here under a different name.
I'm not all that concerned about listing everybody, mostly the one's I recognize.

Thank you so much , right now Kirsti is up to her ears in taxes and
paper wor. You just put a big smile on her face. first one all day
today.
OT:Things are a little different since that picture was taken . We're
not in Brooklyn and now We've have many classical guitars now under
$1000,00 now which is going to be more of our focus. Also Kirsti ask
me to cut my hair . . lol. .
> A mention of our own Steven Bornfeld DDS.as a donor to the GFA.
it's also good read about my old neighbor.
> A mention of Michael Lorimer participating in the 2006 Mannes College
It's also good to read about my old teacher for years.. . .I
remember once my son Paavo was about two month s old and Michael was
helping Kirsti with some voice/guitar stuff on the afternoon of New
Years Eve. Paavo started screaming wanting mommy, our two year boy
was screaming becasue this two month old punk wanted his mommy and
Michael and Kirsti just focus and what sounded like total mayham. I was
teaching on the other floor a small Brooklyn home , thinking "holy
shit, glad I have a student right now " God , I miss those days!
I think people will enjoy working with Michael at Mannes,
