> Notice the modernist's pathological fixation on disintegration. This is no accident.
I did follow the music with the score in hand and I can tell you it's far from being a pathological fixation ... doing so might change your perspective ... but, with Alphonsus jr. one never know, right?

Great. Too bad I live in a bereft backwater fixated on pathological disintegration.
That's the breaks! ;-)
I haven't the hubris to even attempt to play this; I'm just curious to see how it's notated, how it looks on the page.
I'm late to the party as far as Carter is concerned.
What can you say about the life well-lived? I want to be like Carter when (and if) I grow up.

Me neither ... it's a counting nightmare (could not get past the first mm! ... maybe Paco can!), if your intent is to counteract a period of insomnia, you don't visualize and count Changes instead of sheep. It could be dangerous. This is the kind of piece that requires the help of an expert on contemporary music. For me anyway. Last Sunday I met a Doctorate student in composition after the CMC music concert I attended, I'm sure he could help me find the quiet sleep pattern in Changes!

> The score is back in the filling cabinet.
Just for grins I started to print this message to see how long it was.
