Dick,

Here's what the former members of Servant are doing.
Bob Hardy released and album called "Face the Distance" which was
produced by Bruce Wright. He tours quite a bit and stops by my house a
couple of times a year. Last I heard he was looking into ministering in
former East block countries.
Unhappily, Bruce Wright just died recently of cancer. This is a real
loss because he was a brilliant songwriter who went on to write and produce
award winning jingles in Canada, and was reentering the CCM scene as a
producer.
Sandie and Owen are living in Cincinnatti and Owen just compleated a
degree in Graphic design down there. Sandie is very involved in local youth
ministries.
Rob is driving trucks in Calgary and playing bass for his church's
worship band.
David has unfortunately apparently fallen away as he no longer
communicates with the rest of us and the news of his personal life is quite
distressing.
As for me, I am now a software engineer for Bell Atlantic, live in my
hometown in Wisconsin, and lead the worship band at my church. It is the most
fun and most satisfying of all my musical experiences. The band has 10 pieces
and includes latin percussion and violin. It has a conteporary jazz feel to
it but has heavy ethnic influences.
Yes the Doug Pinnick mentioned on "Rockin Revival" is the same one in
King's X. Doug and I are very good friends and played together in a band that
was also called Servant, but is not the same Servant that released all the
albums. It's a convoluted story, so don't worry if you didn't follow it.
As far as what my favorite keyboard was, most of the synths I used
were rather forgettable with the exception of the Oberheim OB-8. I now play a
Korg 01/W Pro and I absolutely LOVE it!
That's all I have time for now.
By the way, I am getting E-mail from you guys, just haven't worked
out a convenient way to respond with our systems at work. Patience please...

        God Bless,
        Matt
