So I figured I needed to make one last post through my Georgia Tech
account before the service goes away entirely by the end of the year.
I dunno if there are any humans left reading this group or not, but
if so, here are some of my musical recommendations. :-)
The latest Anberlin CD, _Dark Is The Way, Light Is A Place_, is solid.
"Impossible" may be their best song ever, and they're great live.
The new Switchfoot CD, _Hello Hurricane_, is quite good, and this is
coming from somebody that NEVER liked Switchfoot, going back to their
very early days when I saw them opening for Third Day and such.
I'm really looking forward to the new Paper Route CD (_Absence_ is
great - buy it!), the new Eisley CD (_Combinations_ is great - buy it!),
and the new Mute Math CD (_Armistice_ is...well, it was a bit of a
letdown, actually). But all three of those bands are also KILLER live,
so go see them if you get the chance.
And for a blast from the past, I'm looking forward to Cornerstone Festival
this summer, which is celebrating the Jesus Movement by bringing in
artists like Keaggy, Stonehill, "Classic Petra" (Volz/Hartman/Weaver/
Kelly/Lawry - awesome!), and of course Resurrection Band. Should be
a lot of fun.
The Choir just released a couple of good CDs, a new studio CD (_Burning
Like the Midnight Sun_) and an unplugged CD (_de-plumed_). Good stuff.
The Violet Burning, once feared to be defunct, actually has THREE new
albums available for pre-order, with a tour to follow. That's very
exciting, and the material sounds pretty diverse and very cool.
And with that, I guess it's officially time to move on to the FaceSpaces
and MyBooks and whatnot. So long, r.m.c.

Guess the polite thing to do would be for someone to say Goodbye.
Enjoy your journey elsewhere on the internets and what not.
In case you didn't know, there are Free news services out there.

I don't think I'm wrong when I say that we probably never encounted
eachother before. but if I'm not misinterpeting your writing,
I'll see you "upstairs with the ol' man." :-)=

Ah, those were the days, eh? I even miss some of the crazies (you know who
I mean). It looks like usenet is pretty much the domain of binaries and
not much else these days.

Anyway, I was just setting up Window Live Mail (I used to use Outlook
Express for newsgroups, long ago) and I saw the old "newsgroup" feature, and
I thought... why not, for old times sake! So I set it up and here I am.
Probably only a one time thing eh.
